After James Donaldson Timber’s (JDT) first full year trading with the Scottish Independent Merchants Buying Association (SIMBA), JDT were awarded SIMBA’s Supplier of the Year Award at a presentation and dinner held at the Dunkeld Hilton Hotel on Tuesday 17th December 2002.

JDT were also awarded the supply deal from SIMBA for the 2003 period.

SIMBA has grown in Scotland to become “the” independent merchant group and, together with its new partners PROSPERO and CHANDOR who are the two main English independent merchant groups, they will collectively now become the largest independent merchant chain in the UK.

JDT’s Managing Director, Scott Cairns commented: “I am absolutely thrilled to win this award and we very much look forward to working in partnership with SIMBA over the coming year and beyond”.
